Leaves are falling

Beautiful colors but lots of work!

Jumping!!

Will was being a choo choo going through a tunnel

Will has been noticing how all the leaves are falling down. With the amount of leaves in our back yard it's hard NOT to notice! I decided to get him a little rake in the hopes that he can help or at least be entertained while we do the work. He loves his rake and all the leaves. We jumped and shuffled and threw them around. Nate was giggling along with us too! And the leaves are so beautiful right now. It looks like they are glowing! We didn't get any actual work done but we sure had fun!

Pumpkin Party

Will was a great helper with the Halloween cookies. He helped me roll, cut and put sugar deco's on... oh and sample the dough of course! We had fun carving our pumpkin and Will helped scoop out the seeds. We lit the pumpkin and put it outside and Will loved watching it glow! Apparently I'm not so great at making pumpkin seeds though. Will tried one, spit it out and said "no taste good" I have to agree! Better luck next year!

Getting ready for Halloween!

Boo!

Yikes!!

I love Halloween! What better reason to dress silly and eat lots of candy! We made some fun pumpkin lanterns today and we're going to carve the real pumpkins tomorrow. Will helped me "light" the candles (they're battery operated!) and was confused why they wouldn't blow out! Will knows what to say when we go trick-or-treating but I don't think he's quite prepared for how much fun he'll have this year! I think I'll have just as much fun! I'll be sure to post more pictures....

Sonny Acres

We met Neil after work this week and headed out to Sonny Acres for some fall fun. Will loved the pony rides and the train (of course!) It was a beautiful afternoon and fun way to get ready for Halloween! I can't wait to carve our pumpkins!

Helicopter Ride!

Will told me he was in a helicopter when he got in Nate's excersaucer and put a drum on his head! I love his imagination!

Nice hat!

A two year old can turn anything into a hat!!

My little buddy

I'm a little biased, but what a cutie! And did you notice his first tooth?!

Will and the whales

Yep, we had a great conversation with the whales at the Shedd Aquarium! They had lots to say and we loved the upclose show they put on for us. (I noticed that Nate is about as loud as the whales when they screech out of the water!!) We also saw the dolphin show and loved when the dolpins made big splashes. I think Will's favorite part was the penguin exhibit where he was walking around like a penguin! He also loved pushing all the buttons and gadgets on the submarine. I realize more and more that he's a hands on kid! It was another great outing!
